The Science and Invention Convention is an opportunity for the district’s students in grades three to eight. Participation in the event allows for kids to explore different areas of science, technology, engineering, and math through creative projects and critical thinking. Students have full independence with their project and are encouraged to learn about something new. Team 1403 set up a booth to exhibit a glimpse of our team’s involvement in the community. Along with this, we put out three VEX robots to engage visitors. They were able to drive the robots on a path. Twenty-two of our members volunteered to evaluate projects created by 262 students. Evaluators watched the students’ presentations, asked them questions, and awarded them with medals and certificates.
